Follow every wedding studio, photography business, digital agency, and production house in your target city. Engage genuinely with their content. When you see a post about a team or are ready to approach, send a well-crafted DM: "I'm a trained [photographer/editor/designer] looking for opportunities. Here is my portfolio: [link]. Would love to connect." This actually works — most Kerala studio owners are active on Instagram.
WhatsApp Groups
Photography and videography WhatsApp groups exist for every district in Kerala. Ask your CIMT instructors or senior professionals to add you. Job openings, referrals, and collaboration opportunities flow through these groups constantly.
Wedding Expos and Industry Events
Kochi, Thrissur, and Kozhikode host regular wedding expos and bridal events. Attend as a visitor, bring business cards, and speak to studio owners and photographers. Face-to-face introductions convert far better than online applications.
Job Boards (Secondary)
Naukri.com, Indeed.in, and Internshala do list some media jobs in Kerala — mostly from digital agencies and corporates. Check weekly and apply within 24 hours of posting — response rates drop significantly after the first day.
